“It’s remarkable how much power one good person can have in shaping the life of a child.“  –  Maya Angelou

What inspired you to work in the field of education?

I love children and always want to make them feel like they are in their second home. The Head Teaching Assistant of the first school I worked at was a real inspiration, and she is one of the major reasons I pursued a teaching career. Her ability to guide students, her fairness, and her sense of justice made me aspire to bring these things to my own classroom.

What do you think makes a good teacher?

Some qualities of a good teacher include skills in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy, and patience. Other characteristics of effective teaching include an engaging classroom presence, value in real-world learning, exchange of best practices, and a lifelong love of learning.
