Our homeroom and core subject teachers (Math, ELA, Social Studies/ Humanities, and Science) are from North America. We also hire teachers from Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and other parts of the world. We also have Vietnamese teachers who are proficient in English instruction, Vietnamese language and culture classes, music, art, and physical education (PE).

Our school year starts in mid-August and ends in mid-June.

  • Monday – Wednesday, Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 4:05 p.m. 

  • Thursday: 8:15 a.m. – 2:05 p.m.

    Every Thursday, students are released at 2:05 p.m. so that teachers and staff can participate in professional development, school meetings, and collaborate with colleagues.

Yes, all students are required to take an admission assessment. Please contact the Office of Admissions for the assessment schedule.

St. Mary’s International School will decide the enrollment grade based on the birth year of the student. If you have specific questions, please contact the Office of Admissions for support and guidelines.

What is the Withdrawal Process?2021-07-29T17:14:40+07:00
  • If a student is to withdraw from St. Mary’s International School, written notification must be sent to the Office of Admissions.

  • Students withdrawing from St. Mary’s International School at any time must complete exit /clearance procedures. These procedures include written confirmation of the exit date, the return of textbooks and library books, school equipment (if any), and the settlement of all fees. The procedures need to be cleared before certificates, transcripts, school letters of recommendation, current year school reports, and examination certificates, where appropriate, can be obtained. If you are aware that you will be leaving but uncertain of the exact date, please contact the Office of Admissions.

  • It is required to provide 30 days written notice before the withdrawal (last date at the school). Once the exit procedures are completed, the necessary refund of tuition based on the refund policies will be completed within ten (10) business days. If a student withdraws during a quarter, there will be no reimbursement of any fees relating to that quarter in which they leave.

Yes, our students wear school or PE uniforms every day.

St. Mary’s provides a wide range of after-school activities (ASAs) for our students to explore new hobbies or interests and to stay more active.

For Elementary, we offer after-school activities such as soccer, basketball, swimming, martial arts, gymnastics, STEAM, and arts & crafts.

Every quarter, parents will be sent a list of the ASAs being offered.

Yes. Our bus service is offered throughout Hanoi based on our current available routes and seats.

Yes. Our cafeteria offers nutritionally balanced meals with rotating varieties. In addition, the microwave is available for students who choose to bring their own lunch.

Yes, we have a School Health Center (SHC) to ensure students’ health and safety. For further details, please refer to School Health Center.

Yes, textbooks are managed by our school librarians. Textbooks will be distributed to students prior to their first day of school and are included in the tuition fee. However, parents will be charged the compensation fee if their child loses or damages any books.

Does St. Mary’s provide special learning support?2021-07-30T10:51:27+07:00

No, St. Mary’s does not have available formal services for students with special learning needs or specific learning challenges (i.e. significant limited intellectual ability, severe physical handicaps or pronounced social, emotional or behavioral difficulties, etc.). Admission to St. Mary’s International School is contingent on a match between the student’s needs and the level of service available.
